These terms set out the agreement between you and Codex Labs for your use of Health Codex. Please read them carefully. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Health Codex, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Who we are

Health Codex is operated by Codex Labs, a product line of Codex Corp, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

3. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Health Codex. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you may use the service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. Description of the service

Health Codex is a health and wellness journal that lets you log meals, exercise, supplements, body metrics, wellness check-ins, and habits; build plans; follow recipes; track streaks; and work toward personalized targets, with AI features that help parse entries and generate suggestions. The app is built on Expo/React Native with a Supabase backend and is available on Android, with iOS and web planned.

5. Your account and security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We offer security features including MFA, passkeys, and Google sign-in. Notify us promptly at legal@codexcorp.ca if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or in violation of these terms.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
• Reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service.
• Upload malicious code or content that infringes others' rights.

7. Your content and ownership

You own the entries and content you create in Health Codex. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and provide the service to you, including processing entries through AI features as described in our AI Policy. You can export or delete your content at any time.

9. Availability, changes, and beta nature

Health Codex is under active development and may include beta or experimental features. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Intellectual property

The Health Codex name, logos, software, and design are owned by Codex Labs and Codex Corp and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights in our brand or software except the limited right to use the app as intended.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codex Labs and Codex Corp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Codex Labs and Codex Corp from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if necessary to protect the service or other users.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia for any disputes, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
