Privacy policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
This policy explains how Codex Corp handles personal information collected through this website, codexcorp.ca. We keep it plain and direct, the same way we approach everything else.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Codex Corp corporate website at codexcorp.ca (the "Site"). It describes the personal information we collect when you visit the Site or contact us through it, and how we use, share, and protect that information.
2. Who we are
Codex Corp is a Canadian holding company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We own and coordinate four operating companies that work together as a single digital partner:
- Codex Studios: visual media production (photography, video, drone).
- Codex Digital: brand identity and digital design.
- Codex Labs: software products.
- Codex Systems: IT infrastructure, cloud, and AI integration.
For the purposes of Canadian privacy law, Codex Corp is the organization responsible for personal information collected through this Site. Contact details are in section 13.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us, request a gap-analysis report, or otherwise reach out (whether by email or any inquiry/contact request on the Site), you may provide your name, email address, company or organization name, and the contents of your message. You choose what to share; the more relevant detail you provide, the better we can route and respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, time on page, referring source, approximate location).
- Device and browser information. Standard technical data such as browser type, operating system, screen size, and IP address (typically truncated or anonymized by analytics).
- Theme preference. Your light/dark mode choice is stored locally in your browser (local storage key codex-theme). It stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
For more detail on cookies and local storage, see our Cookie Policy.
4. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the information you request, including a gap-analysis report.
- To route your inquiry to the right operating company so the appropriate team can follow up.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and understand how it is used.
- To protect the security and integrity of the Site and prevent misuse.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Legal basis and consent
Under Canadian privacy law, we collect, use, and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent, except where the law permits or requires otherwise. By submitting an inquiry, you consent to our use of that information to respond and to route it as described. Consent may be express (for example, sending us a message) or implied by your use of the Site (for example, basic analytics). You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits (see section 9).
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the Site and respond to you:
- Google Analytics: for aggregate website measurement and analytics.
- Hosting and content delivery: the Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes technical data needed to deliver the Site.
- Our operating companies: if your inquiry is routed to Codex Studios, Codex Digital, Codex Labs, or Codex Systems so they can respond.
- Legal and safety: where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and property.
7. International data transfers
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain a record of our communications, or as required by law. Inquiry and contact records are kept for a reasonable period to follow up and document the relationship, then securely deleted or anonymized.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the information to protect it against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and contractual limits.
- Withdraw consent to our use of your information at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@codexcorp.ca. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children
This Site is a corporate and marketing site directed at businesses and adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
