_ga: distinguishes unique users; expires after about two years.
_ga_<id>: used by Google Analytics 4 to persist session state; expires after about two years.

These cookies collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We look at this data in aggregate to improve the site.

Theme preference (local storage)

When you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key codex-theme. This is strictly functional, stays on your device, and is not sent to us or to any third party.

No advertising cookies. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies on this website, and we do not sell personal information.
