1. At a glance: permissions & data
The table below covers every permission or data type relevant to this website.

| Camera | Not requested | Not used. Also disabled at the browser level via the site's Permissions-Policy response header. |
| Microphone | Not requested | Not used. Disabled via Permissions-Policy header. |

| Notifications | Not requested | Not used. This is a static informational website. |
| Cookies & analytics | Used | Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage in aggregate (pages viewed, approximate region, device type, referrer). See Cookie Policy. |
| Local storage | Used | One key (codex-theme) stores your light or dark mode preference on your device only. It is never transmitted to us. |
2. Data we collect on this site
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this website in aggregate. The data collected includes:
- Pages viewed and time spent on each page.
- Approximate region or country (derived from IP address by Google; we do not receive your precise IP).
- Device type, operating system, and browser version.
- Referring website or search engine.
- On-page interactions such as link clicks and scroll depth.
All analytics data is aggregated. We do not use it to identify you individually.
Theme preference (local storage)
When you toggle between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key codex-theme. This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to our servers or to any third party.
Server and security logs (Cloudflare)
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically processes request metadata, including IP addresses and HTTP headers, to deliver the site and protect it against security threats. These logs are handled under Cloudflare's own data-processing terms and are not stored by Codex Corp.
Information you send us
If you contact us by email or use a contact link on this site, you provide personal information directly (such as your name, email address, and message). We use that information solely to respond to your inquiry. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
3. Device and browser permissions
Permissions-Policy HTTP response header, so browsers that honour this header will enforce the restriction automatically.
The only client-side storage this site uses is:
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure aggregate site usage.
- Theme preference stored in local storage (
codex-theme) to remember your light or dark mode choice across visits.
4. Cookies and local storage
For a complete list of cookies and local-storage keys used on this site, including their names, purposes, and lifetimes, see our Cookie Policy.
In summary: Google Analytics sets analytics cookies, and we store one functional local-storage item for your theme preference. No advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies are set by Codex Corp.
5. Third parties
Two third-party services process data when you visit this site:
- Google (Google Analytics): measures aggregate site usage. Data may be processed on Google's servers, which may be located outside Canada. Review Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses cookies.
- Cloudflare: hosts and delivers the site, provides DDoS protection and a content-delivery network. Cloudflare processes request metadata as described above. Review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information to any third party, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
6. Your choices and controls
You have several options for managing the data this site collects:
- Clear cookies and local storage. Use your browser's privacy or developer settings to clear cookies and local storage for codexcorp.ca at any time. Clearing local storage will reset your theme preference to your system default on your next visit.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control (GPC). Some browsers send a Do Not Track or GPC signal. This site does not currently alter its behaviour in response to DNT, but you remain free to use these browser controls. GPC support may be added in a future update.
- Google Analytics opt-out. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across any website that uses it.
- Exercise your privacy rights. Contact us at privacy@codexcorp.ca to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. See section 7 and the Privacy Policy for full details on your rights.
7. Data location, retention, and your rights
Codex Corp is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Some of our service providers (including Google and Cloudflare) may process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Cross-border transfers are described in more detail in the Privacy Policy.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law. Analytics data is subject to Google's retention settings (we configure a 14-month data-retention window in GA4). Theme preference data is stored on your device and is under your direct control.
Under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@codexcorp.ca.
